Hi,
i’m taylor
MARKETING DIRECTOR
WHERE DOES YOUR PASSION FOR BRIDAL COME FROM?
The start of my story probably sounds so familiar to many other bridal stylists. The height of the “Say Yes to the Dress” movement was taking off and I immediately fell in love with the world of bridal; however it was not my excitement and anticipation of becoming a bride that made me fall in love with wedding dresses, it was the idea of being the next Hayley Paige or Pnina Tornai. I would sit in front of my TV binge watching SYTTD and sketching dozens of my own designs. It only felt right to follow my passion with a career starting as a bridal stylist. I fell in love with learning about bride’s love stories and being able to style them to make their vision a reality on the most important day of their lives. The rest is history!
WHAT IS ONE THING YOU WISH BRIDES KNEW BUT YOU CAN’T TELL THEM?
SPLURGE for your dream dress. And I don’t say this in a salesy bridal stylist way, I am saying this as your bridal bestie who wants you to feel like the most beautiful version of yourself without any dress regrets. There are so many ways that you can be resourceful and cut back in other aspects of your wedding. When you look back on your wedding photos and videography, you won’t be reminiscing about the food or your party favors, but you will see your beautiful gown in every single memory. You will not regret it.
WHAT’S ONE OF YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MOMENTS IN BRIDAL?
I had the honor of witnessing such a sweet moment between my bride and her mom. My bride’s mother surprised her by bringing the wedding gown that had been passed down in their family for three generations. The bride tried the dress on for everyone in her entourage. It was the sweetest moment and such a beautiful way to start her bridal appointment.
HOW MANY YEARS HAVE YOU BEEN WORKING IN BRIDAL?
I have been living the dream since 2016 and no plans of stopping any time soon! I can’t wait to see what the next 10 years will bring.
WHAT ARE YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT OUTSIDE OF WORK?
I have an amazing little family that keeps me pretty busy! But when I get the opportunity, I love antiquing and dreaming up home projects as well as curling up with a good book and glass of wine any chance that I can get (if I can do all of those things by the beach, I am in my own version of heaven).
IF YOU COULD GIVE YOUR BRIDES ONE PIECE OF MARRIAGE/WEDDING ADVICE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Keep it small, keep it intimate. Invite only the nearest and dearest to you and your fiancé. Make it grand and gorgeous but scale it back.
WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE WEDDING DRESS DESIGNER?
Hands down, Savannah Miller. I am a sucker for a wedding dress that is simple and luxurious yet unique.
